Did you neglected your workouts over the holidays? Don’t expect to resume them at full force. It takes much less time to lose aerobic capacity or strength than it does to gain it. You can expect to lose 5 percent of your aerobic capacity after one week of inactivity, 15 percent after two weeks, and up to 25 percent after three weeks. Start of slow to rebuild your capacity back.

When it comes to the holidays most Americans gain an average of 10 pounds. Then comes New Years and they start thinking of summer and worry about how to get it all off. With a little planning you can get through the holidays maintaining you weight or even losing more of your unwanted pounds. But it is really up to you. Continue on your 5 and one even on the holidays and have the dinner be your lean and green portion of the day. Do not skip and of the 5 Medifast meals I like still having my evening Medifast meal before going to bed. I feel it puts my body in a better state when I wake up the next day. When having the Holiday dinner use a 9″ plate and only take a spoonful of the things you want to try. Eat slowly and savor every bite. Your mind has memories of you stuffing your self during these events. drinking extra water will give you the sensation of feeling stuffed.
If you think one unhealthy meal can’t hurt you watch this video from The Doctors TV show.
